Food Pantry at the Senior Center of Boulder City

The Department of Health and Human Services and the staff of Senior Center of Boulder Center announce a Food Pantry is now available at the Center.

Seniors (over 60) residing in Boulder City may choose
from the non-perishable items free of charge once every week.

The Grant does require that each participating senior register; this information is for in-house use only and will not be shared with other organizations. Please register through the Senior Center.

Pantry Hours: Mondays 9a.m. to 3p.m.; Thursdays 9a.m. to 3p.m.; and Fridays 9a.m. to 1p.m.

The Cancer Closet

The Cancer Closet is a beneficial resource for cancer patients. The operation provides bottles of the nutrition drink Equate, which helps those undergoing chemotherapy and other radiation treatments replenish much-needed nutrients. They also provide wigs, artificial breasts, scarves, and other donated accessories to help cancer patients maintain a level of confidence. The operation also acts as a liaison for cancer patients in need of resources to help fight the disease.

Hours: Every other Tuesday from 9:00 am to 12 noon.

Free Diabetes Education Session

Boulder City Hospital and Sanofi Aventis present free educational sessions with a Certified Diabetes Educator(CDE). Learn about the latest diabetes information and get help with meal planning and physical activity. Call to register for your session.

When: The 4th Tuesday quarterly at 3:00p.m. (call for schedule)
