Dare to Dream ~ Disney On Ice Coloring Contest

Are your kids bored during the holiday break from school anticipating Christmas, well Boulder City Hospital has a solution to their restless needs…

Five lucky families will receive a family four pack of tickets to Disney On Ice, Dare to Dream, performance on January 12th at Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas.

Grab your crayons and download the attached coloring sheet, be sure to put your name and phone number on the back of the completed coloring sheet. Deadline for entry is January 4th, 2019 entries can be dropped off at Boulder City Hospital reception desk or emailed to wendy@bouldercityhospital.org.

Children ages 0-12 can enter to win by coloring the sheet. Only one winner per family. Winners will be notified by phone.

Thanks to Beta Sigma Phi, Laurete Chapter

Boulder City Hospital Long Term Care would like to thank Beta Sigma Phi, Laurete Chapter for their thoughtful and generous donation!

We were able to purchase a beautiful love seat for our resident lounge, completing our set and allowing the residents and their families to visit in a comfortable and attractive atmosphere. Our residents, their families, and the staff of Boulder City Hospital are very grateful and appreciative. Thank you!

Community Emergency Response Team

In efforts to work in partnership with the community, during an emergency or disaster; Boulder City Hospital’s Chief Nursing Officer Andre Pastian, Emergency Department and Rural Health Clinic Manager Amanda Munson, and Risk Manager Arleen Sheeler completed the 18 hour Southern Nevada CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training. The CERT course is designed to better prepare any citizen to respond and cope with the aftermath of a disaster.

Boulder City Hospital will be hosting this free course this summer on August 3rd and August 10th, 2019. Both days must be completed to earn a certificate of completion.

Antimicrobial Stewardship

Boulder City Hospital takes Antimicrobial Stewardship seriously.

The Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee dressed up for Halloween for the third year to educate, alert staff, patients, and visitors to the importance of proper antibiotic use.

It has been a fun day getting to see everyone’s creative and competitive spooky sprits with our Annual Pumpkin decorating contest. We had several departments submit pumpkin entries and our Board of Trustee and Auxiliary voted for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Please congratulate the following teams for their winning entries:

1st place – BCH Primary Care Clinic –  with the creative witches cauldron (cooked up great success)

2nd place ER Admitting –  with a spooky witch from Snow White (even the apples looked tasty)

3rd place Central Supply & HIM –  with ET (they called home with a win)

Boulder City Hospital cannot accept medications or sharps (i.e. needles) for disposal.  Below are some resources to assist you with disposal of these items.
