May 13,2013– The Cancer Closet is a benefical resource for cancer patients. The operation provides bottles of the nutrition drink Equate, which helps those undergoing chemotherapy and other radiation treatments replenish much-needed nutrients. They also provide wigs, artifical brests, scarves, and other donated accessories to help cancer patients maintain a level of confidence. The operation also acts as a liaison for cancer patients in need of resources to help fight the disease. The Cancer Closet operates out of suite 106 at 999 Adams Blvd. It is open every other Tuesday from 9:00 am to 12 noon.

Thursday, March 27, 2013, marked a historical day for Boulder City Hospital. A ground breaking ceremony took place as a finalization of our efforts in securing USDA funding which supports upcoming construction and modernization projects which will begin this spring.
The ceremony marked the collaborative efforts between the USDA, Building Hope Nevada, Rural Community Assistance Corporation, The City of Boulder City, Clark County, the State and various other organizations which made this funding and expansion project possible.
Speeches were made by Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, Mayor Roger Tobler, Commissioners Steve Sisolak and Mary Beth Scow, State
Director of the USDA, Sarah Adler and CEO Tom Maher. This ceremony displayed both a commitment from our community and the organizations which helped make this project possible.
