Boulder City Hospital would like to recognize outstanding employee, Arleen Sheeler RN, CPHRM Risk Manager. Arleen received her Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM) certification on December 2, 2016.
The CPHRM is an exclusive certification offered by the American Hospital Association for health care Risk Managers. The exam is designed for health care risk management professionals whose main duties include; preventing, reducing, and controlling losses to people and organizations. Regardless of the health care organization, these professionals work with countless other team members in order to accomplish their objectives. Their duties may include; data analysis, report creation, risk evaluation, accident investigation, finance trending, and claims management.
This premier certification proves that Arleen has the core skills and knowledge needed to excel in her unique position. Arleen is now among the elite in a critical field of healthcare.
Arleen is a Boulder City native, who graduated from Boulder City High. She has three grown boys and is now a grandmother to three granddaughters. Arleen helped start up Grace Community Christian school, worked for family doctors in Boulder City, as well as, a medical surgical nurse before taking her current position.
Arleen has taken the time and effort to truly learn her responsibilities as a Risk Manager and it’s very apparent. She is a resource for many employees from managers to line staff, and seeks fairness in all situations to ensure all parties are heard when resolving issues.
